One question addressed how to access codes and ordinances for cities or towns in Massachusetts. The Massachusetts Trial Court Libraries have provided this directory to city/town bylaws or ordinances for many towns in Massachusetts.
Another question concerned research in U.S. legislative history. The library has a research guide on federal legislative research here. This guide links to several sources that help to locate documents generated by Congress during the legislative process (such as hearings and committee reports); these documents can help researchers to understand the legislative intent behind the legislation.
